The Beginning: ’80s

Founded in 1980, Telerx Marketing has been successfully building connections and driving outcomes for our clients longer than many of our competitors have been in business.

It began with an innovative marketing technique that harnessed the cost-effectiveness of telephones to deliver critical communications to our clients’ customers: doctors, nurses, and pharmacists. By hiring nurses and pharmacists — a practice pioneered by Telerx — we were able to communicate more effectively, helping our clients launch new products, sustain existing products, and increase market penetration. Our role soon expanded to include patient care and counseling as compliance became a critical factor in sustaining growth and improving patient outcomes.

Building Consumer Connections: ’90s

By the early ’90s, we leveraged our experience and expertise in handling complex and sensitive customer interactions to other industries. Companies were just beginning to recognize the powerful impact that building strong relationships with consumers had on their bottom line. As a result, we have been privileged to help many industry-leading, global Fortune 500 corporations attain their objectives of increased brand loyalty.

In 1994, we became a wholly-owned, independent subsidiary of Merck & Co., Inc., Kenilworth, NJ USA, giving us the added benefit to focus on our quality of service without sacrifice due to cost constraints. Merck is known as MSD outside the United States and Canada. C3i Solutions clients’ data is safe and isolated from our parent company. We have established and maintain robust organizational, operational and technical safeguards to protect client data and confidential information and to ensure our operational autonomy.

Going Global: ’00s

As our clients’ needs have grown, so have we.

In 2013, Telerx acquired Sentrx Safety Solutions, an industry leading provider of pharmacovigilance services. This strategic acquisition enabled us to provide a full suite of drug safety solutions to the pharmaceutical and biotechnology marketplace.

In 2014, we acquired another company in the healthcare space, C3i, Inc., the leading provider of technical support services for the life sciences industry, with global operations in North America, Europe, India and China. With the acquisition of C3i, Telerx has “gone global” — enabling us to support clients in their local markets, outside of the U.S. The following year, we launched C3i Healthcare Connections – a division 100% focused on life sciences.

One Company: 2017

In 2017 Telerx and C3i Healthcare Connections introduced C3i Solutions, a single new brand for the company’s consumer goods and life sciences divisions. As C3i Solutions, we are supporting our clients 24/7 in over 175 countries with over 30 languages and handling more than 35 million interactions per year.

Today

In April 2018, C3i Solutions was acquired by HCL Technologies, a next-generation global technology company. With the acquisition, C3i Solutions’ clients will benefit from HCL’s deep technological capabilities and innovative approach, allowing us to continue delivering the high-quality engagement and support that has been our hallmark
