HNAP accreditation ensures adherence to health data processing standards and compliance with security infrastructure and integrity requirements
Horsham, PA, November 14, 2013 – Telerx, a U.S. based leader in consumer care, announced today it has achieved full accreditation with the Healthcare Network Accreditation Program (HNAP) for Electronic Health Networks (EHN) from the Electronic Healthcare Network Accreditation Commission (EHNAC). EHNAC’s HNAP accreditation recognizes excellence in health data processing and transactions, and ensures compliance with industry-established standards and HIPAA regulations.
Through a consultative review process, EHNAC evaluated Telerx in areas of privacy measures, systems availability and security infrastructure, as well as its process of managing and transferring protected health information (PHI), and determined that it meets or exceeds all EHNAC criteria and industry standards. As a result of completing this rigorous accreditation, Telerx has demonstrated adherence to strict standards and participation in a comprehensive and objective business evaluation.
“EHNAC HNAP accreditation lends a credible third-party endorsement to Telerx’s healthcare-related services,” said Barry Peters, Vice President of Corporate Compliance. “It demonstrates to our current and prospective clients our strict adherence to industry standards for handling sensitive data.”
“At a time of heightened regulatory concerns, it is responsible healthcare organizations such as Telerx that we applaud for taking the extra steps to ensure trust with all their stakeholders and customers that they’re adhering to the latest standards in privacy, security and confidentiality,” said Lee Barrett, executive director of EHNAC.
